Scribe Thorin Seex describes himself as an 'office monkey' and 'motorbike nut'. He has lived in Hackney for much of his life and has drawn on real experiences to bring the unusual characters in Hackney's Finest to the screen. By Thorin’s own admission his misspent youth (followed by an even more misspent adulthood) is his source of inspiration. He began writing due to a life long love of stories. This is his unique and surprising tale of corruption & revenge on the streets of east London.
An award winning director, Chris made The Hunt for Gollum, a 40 minute Tolkien adaptation which has had 15 million views on YouTube and won accalim at festivals across the world. He also works with visual effects house Framestore in London (Avatar, Children of Men, Harry Potter, Gravity).
Chris was inspired by Thorin's story, when he was introduced via a poetry writers circle in Gloucester. He immediately set about turning the raw script into a feature film. Click photo for Chris' website.
